Vietnam/Cambodia Trip: Angkor Temples

For a month this past summer, my family and I spent a month in Vietnam and Cambodia.  My mom and dad were born and raised in Cambodia and Vietnam, respectively.  This was our first time going, as a family, to Asia and our first real vacation in a long time.

Instead of writing posts about every single thing we did or sights we saw, I think I'll feature certain aspects of the trip through photos we took.

The first feature is the most grand and awe-inspiring.  The Angkor Temples in Siem Reap, Cambodia.  The sites are important to Khmer politics, religion, art, and architecture.  Needless to say, they were incredible.

Summer to Fall Transition: The Slip Dress

I may be a bit late to this trend, or maybe slightly early.  But slip dresses.  Once used exclusively as undergarments are becoming an easy, breezy choice for the summer months.

This is definitely a trend I want to try, and I know thrift stores will be able to help me with that.  It's also a good transitional piece to fall.  Just add a leather jacket, tights, and some boots and you'll be ready to go.

Neutrals and a Musical Conundrum

Back to blogging after a long hiatus.  Hopefully I can maintain regular posting for this school year.

Inspiration for the new school year.  I'm thinking neutrals with some stellar accessories.

Recently my musical tastes have come to a standstill.  I've gotten the urge to once again find new music.  And rather than going forward, I think I prefer going back.  Specifically 70s and 80s rock, with a synth-y feel.  Think The Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, and most recently, Tears for Fears.
