I've been at home less than a week and already I've seen more people than I thought I would. It's so incredibly relaxing to have a month of free time and absolutely no schoolwork to do.
I'd say this was a typical Christmas; it all somehow came together at the last minutes. Good times, good food, and another poem written by yours truly.
Carefully opening my present.
My sister thought it would be hilarious to give me a copy of the US Constitution and of course, I did a short dramatic reading from it.
Overall, I think this Christmas went well. I love my family and time spent together is always better than material things.

I'll Be Home for Christmas..
Another stressful semester over, family time and lots of lounging around to look forward to. I'm quite proud of myself for taking the time this semester to use my CW mug for cider and hot chocolate, actually being able to releax and do fun things (like concerts), and not go crazy with schoolwork. However, my GPA may not have appreciated that last one.
But I am definitely ready to go home. Plans for the break include: cleaning my room (of course), baking with family, and being super crafty with all my free time. Expect many blog posts in the near future!
While I spend the last few hours on campus before I take the bus home, I'm listening to this new band. New to me, that is. They're called the Generationals and they just have a cool sound.

Stitches in Time
I've decided what I want for Christmas. And putting it in print will solidify my desires, I feel. I want...a sewing machine. Nothing new, nothing shiny. Just a working sewing machine. My grandmother has one, and I may even ask if I can have that one.
Now that I've gotten that off my chest, off to keep studying the dreaded PChem. It's finals week for the next week and a half and I. am. scared. It's beyond stressed or worry, it's now fear. I just hope all goes well, and I still have another scintillating semester of PChem II in the spring. Wish me luck!

I've been wanting a real hobby for a while now. My roommate knits and I was thinking of starting because I love all of the cozy, winter things that can be knit. Whether or not I actually obtain a sewing machine, I'm probably going to sew/make some skirts and scarves over the winter break. There must be something in the winter air that makes me go to my creative place. Any project ideas?

Time to break out the candy cane earrings
It's getting dangerously close to the end of the semester and it's almost the "freaking out about finals" time, but I'm also trying to make the most of winter in Williamsburg. My friends and I made gingerbread cookies from scratch last night and tomorrow night is Grand Illumination, which means fireworks to welcome in the beginning of winter. :) And of course, hot chocolate and Christmas movies are a definite must.
In the meantime, I need to get myself a cozy holiday sweater (and in the meantime, forget that it's 60 degrees this week). It'll be perfect for late night study sessions and lounging around the house.
